It seems like an average peaceful street in Tokyo. Although, peaceful.. There's a small girl sitting on her knees on the sidewalk. [Kousagi is on the sidewalk, bawling her eyes out and screaming. All around her are some fifth graders, pointing and laughing at the fact they made her trip as they are covering their ears. But that's not why she's crying.
